This guide details the solution for the Hall of Ascension, an optional tomb in the Mountain Village. Access is only possible after returning from the radio tower. The puzzle involves manipulating wind currents to progress.

Locating and Entering the Tomb

The tomb entrance is in the north-eastern section of the Mountain Village, an area you first pass through on the way to the blue smoke signal. When you reach the ledge above the entrance, do not drop down.

Instead, shoot a rope arrow to create a rope bridge across the gap. Cross the bridge, then follow the north-eastern path down to the clearly visible entrance.

Reaching the Main Chamber

Follow the linear cave corridors. Use your torch or Survival Instincts to navigate. You will eventually arrive at a small base camp; rest here if needed. Proceed forward toward the large structure visible in the distance, which is the main puzzle chamber.

Solving the Wind Mechanism Puzzle

The puzzle here is more complex than in previous tombs. First, interact with the mechanism on the left side of the entrance. This lowers all the wind shutters in the chamber.

Next, approach the second mechanism directly in front of the entrance. A crucial note: only activate this second mechanism after one of the closed shutters breaks open naturally. The two remaining shutters should stay closed for a short time after this.

Riding the Wind Current

After activating the second mechanism, immediately scramble up the platform on your left. From there, leap onto the moving platform in the center of the room. Wait on this platform.

The two remaining shutters will eventually open. When they do, a powerful gust of wind will push the platform and you toward the wall to the right of the entrance.

As soon as the platform reaches that wall, leap onto the interactive wall fragment. If the platform does not move, it means you activated the second mechanism too early; remember to wait for one shutter to break before activating the second.

Claiming the Treasure

From the interactive wall, go left along the ledge and jump over any gaps. This path leads to an upper gallery, which completes the puzzle and gives you 250 XP.

Continue east from the gallery to find a large treasure crate. Inside, you get 250 Salvage points, a Pistol Part, a GPS Caches map, and another 1250 XP. Grab the loot and head back through the tomb to leave.
