This section details the initial combat and traversal through a hostile village during the Mountain Rendezvous mission. You will engage groups of guards, escape a burning building, and use stealth to advance.

Initial Firefight with the Pistol

A game tip will recommend using your recently acquired pistol for this fight. Stay behind cover. Lean out only to take shots. If possible, aim for the guards' heads to achieve instant kills.

Each enemy eliminated this way grants 15 XP. Complete this encounter to receive a reward of 100 XP. After the fight, search the bodies for supplies before proceeding.

Forcing Entry and Escaping the Fire

Move forward to a closed building entrance. Use your pry axe on the door by rapidly tapping the action button to force it open. Enemies will set the building on fire as you enter.

Once inside, quickly tap the indicated button multiple times to perform an action and escape the flames. You must do this promptly to prevent Lara from burning.

Stealth Approach and Bow Tutorial

You can now move forward, jumping across gaps as needed. When you approach a hill, the game will prompt you to switch back to your Makeshift Bow for a tutorial. Take cover.

Enter aiming mode and fire a single shot to eliminate the enemy in front of you without alerting him. If you are spotted, you will not die immediately, but it is better to remain undetected.

Traversal to the Upper Balcony

Approach the climbable wall near this area and scramble up to reach an upper ledge. Follow the wooden balcony to its end. From there, jump to grab onto the broken structure fragments on your left. Traverse as far left as possible, then climb up to the top ledge.

Engaging the Second Enemy Group

Take cover on this upper ledge. You will see two guards below. Use your bow or pistol to eliminate them. A third guard will also arrive by climbing down a ladder; be prepared to target him as well.
