This walkthrough covers the path to the crashed rescue helicopter during the Open Wounds mission. Lara is injured and must navigate hostile ground-level terrain to find the necessary medical supplies.

Finding the Eastern Passage

As mentioned, Lara cannot currently climb to higher platforms. You must find a ground-level passage to the east. Move underneath the series of huts until you locate an exit tunnel.

Dealing with the First Guard Patrol

As soon as you exit the tunnel, take immediate cover. Three guards patrol this area. It is recommended to eliminate the guard on the upper wall first. Use your bow or a weapon with a silencer for this.

Then, move slightly to the left. Ambush the remaining two guards from this position. If they detect you and begin firing, you can shoot an explosive barrel located to the right of the stairs to defeat them.

Navigating to the Helicopter Path

Head northeast into the area the guards occupied. Once there, turn left and head northwest. Follow the narrow path toward the helicopter, crossing a wooden beam.

Engaging the Second Enemy Group

Prepare for another fight upon reaching this area. Take cover behind the objects on your left, then begin attacking the new guards.

Given Lara's wounded state, maintain distance to avoid melee combat. Remember to change cover positions if you take fire.

Final Approach to the Helicopter

You will encounter one more enemy on the direct path to the helicopter. This area has no cover. Use firearms to quickly defeat this guard.

Once you reach the rear of the helicopter, select your bow. Shoot a rope arrow at the indicated interactive spot on the fuselage to create a line.

Securing the Supplies

Board the helicopter's deck. This action triggers several cutscenes. Note that Lara acquires a Lighter and the ability to craft Fire Arrows from this point forward.
