Often projects on Kickstarter seem out of place - projects run by millionaires and big businesses, seemingly not in need of support from a crowd funding website, yet they continue to be funded.  Much of the time smaller projects do not get enough attention, yet they still become very successful, meeting their goals and in some cases doubling and tripling them. The games mentioned below are NoobFeed's top 5 small-budget projects. In this case, Kickstarter projects with a goal of less than $10,000. The most funded project on this list is Homesick, from developer Lucky Pause, who raised $27,897. All of the projects in this list were successfully funded, and are expected to release within the next year. Without further adieu, NoobFeed presents the top five successfully funded small budget Kickstarter projects to look forward to!

Raising over $26,000 LIONESS was easily funded, more than tripling its $7,000 goal. To be released episodically, LIONESS will feature seven "sessions" with each one revealing more about the world, its characters and the plot. Players navigate through this experimental adventure game controlling a freelance journalist, Eggert Kirby, as he researches the mystery behind seven missing people, time-travels and meets some intriguing characters. Gameplay is focused on social interactions and narrative, exploring a new angle of storytelling.

Ever want to be undeniably cruel to the Pope, Hillary Clinton or Tiger Woods? Maybe, or maybe not; either way in Rehearsals and Returns, players will get the opportunity to say words of wisdom, hate or kindness towards people alive or dead. Exploring levels entails collecting emotionally charged words and quoting, or being heinous towards the likes of Tiger Woods and Mao Tse Tung. The mechanics of the game feel "more like that of Apples to Apples than the conversation mechanics of Mass Effect" and one conversation may affect the next.

Welcome to Boon Hill

Welcome to Boon Hill is a goalless game, but nonetheless promises discovery through the connections we have with death and those that have passed on. Gameplay involves exploring a graveyard, reading headstones and discovering the mysteries behind thousands of the dead. Welcome to Boon Hill uses 16-bit graphics, offers numerous NPC's to interact with and free roaming allows the game to end when you so choose.

Close to $30,000 was pledged for this first-person puzzle adventure game that was greenlit this summer on Steam. With a goal of only $8,000, the Homesick Kickstarter flew passed that, and every single stretch goal the developers had laid out as well. The independent video game company, Lucky Pause, brings the point-and-click genre to a gorgeous 3D world with difficult, but fair puzzles and a nightmarish world mixing serenity and a world of nightmares. Uncover the meaning behind these nightmares and the meaning of your presence in the world of Homesick.

Matt Cohen's game, Paranormal, was recently released on Steam on September 12. Paranormal has elements comparable to the Paranormal Activity movies, with the player controlling a character holding a camera and recording frightening occurrences. Paranormal: The Town is a free expansion pack/sequel to the original game and features a new storyline, characters, gameplay mechanics and a more in depth story-driven experience.

As mentioned above, all of these  Kickstarter projects have been funded, but these great projects can still use your support. Show your support and visit the websites below for more information, and stay tuned to NoobFeed for future updates.
