Netflix’s new games are filled with a tinge of Nostalgia and remind the users of the days before high-speed internet connectivity made its presence felt in our lives. Netflix, which originally began as a streaming service in the year 1997, has always shown its willingness to join the gaming world with its small collection of games and various VR experiences released over the years. Netflix officially made its appearance in the gaming world in November 2021 by introducing ‘Netflix Games’ within the Netflix app with five mobile games.

To date, Netflix has over 50 mobile games on its platform which can be enjoyed by subscribers on their iOS and Android devices. The games can be downloaded from the iOS apple store and Android Google Play store. These games can be played by anyone who has a Netflix subscription.

Valiant Hearts – Coming Home

While the casino market still reigns supreme across, especially on platforms such as Promoguy, which offers a great ensemble of bonus and voucher codes, Netflix has been generating significant traction amongst players too. All games are free to play, come with no advertisement, and have no in-game payments. Netflix now has over 50 games under its wings, here’s a list of some of the best games launched in 2023 by Netflix.

Valiant Hearts – Coming Home

Valiant Hearts – Coming Home is the sequel of the hit adventure game Valiant Hearts- The Great War from Ubisoft which became one of the most loved games after its release in 2014. The storyline and immersive gaming experience offered left the users begging for a sequel. This wish came true when Netflix announced its long-awaited sequel to be released exclusively on Netflix Games on the 31st of January 2023. The game follows the story of 4 friends as they weave through their lives and struggles during the turmoil of World War I.

While most war games follow the generic ‘gun-wielding soldier saving the day single-handedly’ plot, Valiant Hearts – Coming Home strays from this path and make the players control the four friend at each point of time, where the protagonist is not Shooting at enemies but rather trying to get from one point to another using their wits and not just Brute force. The game has garnered praise from both critics and players for its compelling storytelling, animation, and equally beautiful soundtrack.

Ubisoft in its press conference remarked that the original core members that worked on Valiant Hearts: The Great War at Ubisoft Montpellier in 2014 have returned to develop Valiant Hearts: Coming Home in collaboration with Old Skull Games.  You can now play Valiant Hearts – Coming Home on Netflix games.

Narcos: Cartel War Unlimited

Inspired by Netflix’s hit series Narcos, the game takes the player through the gritty tales of the rise of the cocaine trade in Colombia and real-life stories of the drug kingpins of the 80s. The players need to build their own cartels, attain great powers to beat their enemies and make decisions that are crucial for flourishing their cartels and also for dictating the law of the land.

The players learn the ins and outs of running the cartel from drug lord El Patron and learn the tricky ways to maintain a relationship with the DEA. The game uses both strategic and technical gameplay giving the gamers an immersive experience that keeps them coming back for more.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was first released for PC and consoles in the year 2022 and is now available to play on iOS and Android, thanks to Netflix Games. TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is a modern take on retro TMNT arcade games. It successfully captures old-school pixelated ‘beat’em up Games’, giving gamers a taste of nostalgia while playing.

The small screen of iOS and Android doesn’t hinder playing or clutter the screen, rather gives gamers a comfortable and smooth gaming experience. The game lets up to six people play at the same time. You can also team up with other parties or play with your friends who have Netflix subscriptions. In conclusion, it’s a retro arcade game that reminds you of the good old days, packed within the 6 inched screens in your hand.

Netflix has a long list of games that are to be released this year, we are waiting eagerly, are you?
