Where is Koshai?

Hehehe! I am still around. Surfing here and there in NoobyWorld and reading everyone's posts and such. For the past few weeks I have been super afk. Yes I was buying a hell lot of games recently that are being released. Since I am one of the hopeless unemployed people I am cooling myself down by playing to many games and sleep a lot (yes I even havent been making any music lately even though I have to work with two singers). I have been preordering games and standing in lines during the midnight for a couple of times. So here is the list of the games I bought recently and played.
Forza 4: i didnt stand in the the line for this but I got some hefty bonuses (mostly bonus cars and tracks). It is indeed a good and polished game. I have been writing a review of this. I havent finished writing it yet (yes that unemployed disease affecting my normal practice a lot). They have included a good number of new track and I just loved the Swiss fictional track they made. the inclusion of the elements of Top Gear and Jeremy Clarksons commentary made the game even more awesome. The best thing I loved is AutoVista!! This was the killer.
Ace Combat Assault Horizon: Likewise I didnt stand in the line. I however picked this copy along with Forza 4. After playing this I got a little bit disappointed but I have to admire Namco's take on different path because the series definitely needed one. I got angry of Ace Combat's leave out of Japanese melodrama story in favor Western military cliche story. Btw I wrote a review of this and its here: http://www.noobfeed.com/users/review_detail/608
Batman: Arkham City: I really wanted to get this game on the midnight launch. I was in Hoboken and stayed over in a friends house. When I went to pick the game the salesperson said that I could have gotten some free stuffs.I got mad at myself. What a golden opportunity missed. When I got the copy I didnt play it yet. I gave it to my friend's roommate to play while we hung around. Apparently I have been sharing their room so I had to find a way to keep my friend's roommate happy. So I gave him my copy. He was very happy. When I got back home I realized that the bonus code (The Catwoman bundle) is not working. My friend's roomate used the code up. So I guess preordering this was a waste for me (well I got someone happy so I am fine with it). I bought another code online and downloaded the Catwoman bundle. The game is simply awesome. Too good. Dramus review will summarize everything: http://www.noobfeed.com/blog_infos/view/3598 . The game in my point of view is the contender for GOTY.
Battlefield 3: This time I went for the midnight launch. The line was surprisingly small. The background miltary war sound made my ears hurts coz they played it very loud. They should have put a war soundtrack which would have been better. So as a preorder customer I got the Limited Edition one. I got the PC version coz this is how Battlefiled 3 is meant to be played. I loved EAs new Origin System and how the everything is maintained through a webpage including character database, chat and game launch. I didnt like the single player at all (Battlefield wasnt supposed to have a single player anyway). However after a long time I definitely loved the multiplayer. I played the multiplayer for hours. The last time I had such fun in FPS multiplayer gaming is when I used to play Counter Strike 1.6, Unreal Tournament 99/2004 and Medal of Honor. BrunoBRS review will sum it up: http://www.noobfeed.com/review_infos/view/624
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3: Yes yes!! I was a sucker. Thought this should be a good one since its the final Modern Warfare game. I went for the midnight launch and OMG the line was huge. Let me copy and paste my Facebook status:
"Just got back from Gamestop to get my hands on that game. Total time in line: 2 hours. Thats the longest line I have been since I waited in line to get my UK visa in BD back in 2000. All people from all races, nerds, religious, hippies, gangstas, drunken people, high on weeds, gathered together in this big event. We laughed, joked, watched weird scenes while we walked slowly. Even two pigeons coming towards us got scared of the line and turned back. Just for a game, just for a game. And that game is Modern Warfare 3."
And when i finished here is the Facebook status i made:
"Just finished Modern Warfare 3 campaign. I dont know whether I should be happy or angry!! The campaign is miles better than Battlefield 3 and indeed has quite intensifying levels. Every single level is effectively designed. However it angered me by making the campaign even shorter than Modern Warfare 2. 7 hours gametime (correction 5 hours only). I think Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer games do not want to get involved anymore and end the Modern Warfare franchise for good. The end credits proves it. Well the Modern Warfare 3 story is done."
Overall I am simply pissed.
Skyrim: My disapointment of Call of Duty had been totally made up by Skyrim. Frankly speaking this is the best game I have played in years. For this game I didnt have to stand for midnight launch. I got this from Steam. Since Steam offered preload: I installed this game before the game got launch and started playing this game at exactly 12 o clock. I would say this should be nominated for the best games of the decade (if you consider 2001-2011 timeline). I would still stand for Diablo II and Baldurs Gate as the best games of the decade (in fact one of the best games of all time). Skyrim is the reason of my social absence for the time being. Since the launch I already played 50 hours and I still havent got in the middle of the game yet. Not to mention I have got 50+ quest in que and who knows how many quests are there. 60 bucks for this game is nothing. I would say it should have priced higher but Bethestha cared for us. The game is so awesome that I had to post multiple Facebook statuses about this game.
Finally I got Assassins Creed Revelations and Saints Row 3 in the midnight launch. I was surprised the line is very tiny even though 4 games got released. I wont say anything about these two games right now since I am still at the start. Skyrim disease got me real bad and trying to prevent me to play those two games. Even in game development class a lot of student cant get over with Skyrim discussion and my professor screamed at us not to spoil anything about Skyrim. We shouted back "Oh you can kill big DRAGONS!!!!" The professor covered his ears!!
In this game development class, we are finishing making a prototype of a space shooting game. Its going great. I hope we can use it as a portfolio if I go for jobs into game industry which I definitely want.
Ron and I are in the final stages of the music social networking site we are making. Hopefully we can show you this in coming months. As for my music goes, hopefully a collabration album with my track on it will be released worldwide by this coming December.
So thats it. This is what I am doing and where I am.
