WipEout HD and why I hate Zico
Games by Nerdboy on Aug 04, 2009
So when I first bought WipEout back in September I very quickly decided that there was absolutely NO way I'd ever get close to platinum on this game so I wasn't even going to try going for some of the harder trophies. Well, since I've started playing this game again with the new Fury add on I've found that I've become very good at this game. So good in fact that only two hurdles stand between me and the Platinum. The Elite Campaign Legend and Beat Zico.
I'm almost half way through Elite Campaign Legend and while there has been a couple bumps in the campaign I'm feeling pretty confident about it. However it's beating Zico where this gets frustrating. You see I spent about 5 hours last night trying to beat Zico. Of those five hours I had about 6-7 perfect laps where I hit all four barrel rolls and every boost I needed and STILL fell .4 seconds shy of Zico's best lap.
It seemed almost as if no matter what I did, even if I did everything perfectly I was ALWAYS just short. As you can imagine this gets to be extremely frustrating over time. But I'm sure I'll eventually get it. I came within .2 seconds at one point last night and as frustrating as that was at least I know that I'm getting closer and eventually I'll get it....hopefully. >.>
In other news the Fury add on is all kinds of epic. It feels like it could be it's own stand alone game with the amount of content that's in it and for 10 bucks it is yet again another great deal. I'd pay full retail for the regular WipEout HD and so for it to be only 20 bucks and the add on content having as much as the full game did and then some it's always one of the very first games I recommend people to get when they're looking for something new.
THat's all for now :P To all of those I've added on PSN I get paid today so hopefully I can get some more games where we can actually start to get some multiplayer games set up :P
