5 Games That Should Be On The PlayStation Classic

What Should PlayStation Classic include?

By Grayshadow, Posted 19 Sep 2018

After seeing the massive success of the NES and SNES classic along with their own massive library of classic games Sony has decided to release their own classic console. The PlayStation Classic will launch this December and while we already know that Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms would be joining the 20 game lineup there are 5 games that should be part of the list. Here they are.

Metal Gear Solid,NoobFeed,PlayStation Classic,

5. Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid demanded a lot from players. Right from the beginning players are put right into the action, where stealth is paramount to survival. Manipulating the enemy AI was key and every boss fight was a unique challenge that required a specific tactic. Whether it's finding a sniper rifle for an epic 1v1 duel or changing your controller's slot to Player 2.

Metal Gear Solid forced players to think outside the box, sometimes literally, and combined with a movie-like experience thanks to cutscenes that were leagues ahead of the competition. Metal Gear Solid took a lot of risks and was somehow able to pull every one of them off.

Castlevania,Symphony of the Night,NoobFeed,

4. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Regarded as one of the best games in the entire series and the genre of Metroidvania Castlevania: Symphony gameplay was so well tuned that it still holds up today. The combination of RPG elements, extensive equipable items, fantastic bosses, and multiple endings encouraged gamers to play it over and over again.

The graphics alone make it one of the best looking 2D games ever made. With a beautiful combination of colors and animations that made everything from the enemies and the background pop. It has been re-released on multiple platforms since its debut on the PlayStation but it would be criminal not to include this classic in the PlayStation Classic.

Spider-Man,PlayStation Classic,NoobFeed,

3. Spider-Man

Lots of people are enjoying Marvel's Spider-Man but let's not forget the other great games that carrying the Spider-Man name. The 2000 game Spider-Man was able to pull off a lot of impressive feats considering its limitations.

The camera was difficult to navigate and web-swinging was restrictive. But overall the developers were able to capture Spider-Man's strength and abilities using the limited tools available and give players a fantastic story that had notorious figures such as J.J. Jameson, Scorpion, Mysterio, and many more. Best of all it had plenty of collectibles and interesting secrets such as hidden character cameos and special suits.

Tony Hawk,Pro Skater,2,NoobFeed,PlayStation Classic,

2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

The Tony Hawk series has been hit with hard times since the last game in the series launched in such a horribly unfinished state. Those who played the original games know that this franchise starting off with such acclaim and reputation for a reason, with strong precise controls, an array of environments and unique challenges, and insanely crazy secret characters.

The first game was a smash hit Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is regarded as one of the best games in the series. Not only did it bring the same outstanding gameplay of the first but added more stages that increased the difficulty, a level editor, and so much more. The Tony Hawk series was held with such acclaim that this game needs to added to the PlayStation Classic roster to show everyone why.

Ape Escape,NoobFeed,PlayStation Classic,

1. Ape Escape

Regarded as one of the greatest PlayStation classics of all time Ape Escape hasn't been seen for years. Traveling through different time periods and capturing apes to preventing a time calamity was goofy fun. Most importantly, it was one of the titles that made the PlayStation stand out from the competition because it required the use of the DualShock's analog.
