Not all games on the Xbox One Scorpio will be in 4K.

The option to pick one of three Xbox One has confused gamers of which one to buy. Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, confirmed that those without a 4K television shouldn't purchase the upcoming Scorpio model seeing that the system is built for 4K resolution. However developers are not required to make games with 4K resolution either.

The Scorpio will have 6 teraflops for developers to play with, and it's up to them how they wish to use it.

This seems like an issue, why pay for a system if you're not guaranteed 4K gaming. However Microsoft's goal to ensure that all Xbox One games are playable on all versions of the system. Creating a barrier for one of them will separate the gaming community, something that developers and publishers have been trying to avoid now with DLC.

Still for those willing to invest in a more powerful Xbox One the 4K option is there for them to use.
