News by Grayshadow on Dec 04, 2017
Since it was teased everyone wondered if Hideo Kojima would be at The Game Awards this year, now wonder no longer. Host Geoff Keighley confirmed that not only would Hideo Kojima be at the Game Awards but Guillermo del Toro would be there as well.
The duo would be appearing to present an award but Keighley did stop short of what the pair would be presenting. Given that The Game Awards has been known for surprising announcements many speculate this will be when Hideo Kojima will reveal the first gameplay footage of Death Stranding. However, it should be noted that Death Stranding has not been confirmed for The Games Award.
While information regarding Hideo Kojima's project has been limited, skipping E3 2017, TGS 2017, Gamescom, and Paris Games Week many are hoping that Sony will end 2017 with the reveal.
Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro worked together on the canceled Silent Hill reboot for the PS4. Guillermo del Toro was also involved in the development of inSane, a survival-horror game that was in development for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC before being canceled in August 2012.
Death Stranding is in development for PS4.
