Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated games on the PS4 and despite entering internal testing no one really knows much about the game. However, star of the game Norman Reedus says that the game is "mind-blowing".
When speaking on B&H Podcast titled Art Is Art Does Reedus stated:
“The concept is so mind-blowing, because it’s not like, you know, ‘kill everybody and win the game’, it’s a connecting thing. It’s like the opposite. And, you know, it’s so ahead of its time. And there’s elements of social media in it, and the idea is that – you know, you have so many games, and so many parts of millennial culture I guess, is being alone in a room. And you lose physical contact with people. This is after that and the re-establishing of that physical contact.”
It's a cryptic description but showcase that the game will feature a consequence system. Reports have been made to the public by Sony that production is moving smoothly and development is going much quicker than expected. Rumors of a 2018 release are also making traction around the internet but for now, Sony and Kojima are keeping that information confidential. If true we'll hear about it at this year's E3.
Death Stranding is in development for PS4.
