A Plague Tale: Innocence Gamescom 2018 Trailer is Gruesome and Bloody

Today, Focus Home Interactive and Aboso Studios released the first gameplay footage for the survival game A Plague Tale: Innocence. Featuring elements such as survival, scavenging for resources, and fending off hostiles.

Much of the gameplay was shown highlights protagonist Amicia using fire to evade the deadly rats with her brother Hugo and fellow survivor Lucas. The gameplay footage shows the importance of finding supplies and definitely gives a The Last of Us vibe.

Things get interesting when they encounter other humans. Using the rats to their advantage to kill the targets by destroying their light sources. All while avoiding their line of sight using grass and other covers.

The gameplay footage is still a work in progress but looks amazing. With the atmosphere selling the dark and dreadful atmosphere. What shines is Hugo who has somehow of an innocent outlook on life but has to see horrible things in order to survive.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is now in development for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
