Harebrained Schemes, the studio responsible for the Shadowrun revival, are close to finishing work on their upcoming project, BattleTech. In a recent announcement, it was revealed that the game will launch this April on PC and Mac. The title, centered around turn-based tactical combat involving giant mechs, puts players at the helm of a mercenary outfit fighting others' battles as a brutal interstellar civil war takes place. Over 30 BattleMechs can be deployed, customized and blown up. Aside from its single player campaign, BattleTech will also boast  PVP Multiplayer and vs AI Skirmish modes.

The announcement also contains a video detailing elements of BattleTech's combat. While dispatching enemies by using devastating flurries of rockets, or simply ripping their limbs off, players need to look after Heat levels and the stability of their 'Mechs. BattleTech is currently available for pre-order on Steam and Paradox Plaza for the price of 39,99€ or your regional equivalent. All pre-orders include the Shadowhawk Pack, which comes with a skin for the Shadowhawk 'Mech and a wallpaper. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for 49,99€ and comes with an Art Book, the game's soundtrack, a forum avatar and Wallpapers in up to 4K resolution alongside the base game.
