Announced back in August, BattleTech's first expansion, Flashpoint, now has a release date. It will be avalable on November 27th on Steam, GOG, and Paradox Plaza, for the price of $19.99 or your regional equivalent. Not only that, but two other expansions are scheduled to release next year. While details are scarce, Urban Warfare will add more "explosive metropolitan combat", while the third expansion remains "to be confirmed". All three expansions are part of the newly added Season Pass which benefits from a 20% discount this week, bringing it from its original $49.99 price down to $39.99.

If you're looking for a quick rundown of what BattleTech Flashpoint has to offer, this video narrated by BATTLETECH Game Director and co-founder of Harebrained Schemes Mitch Gitelman should bring you up to speed. Since I reviewed BattleTech back at launch, the team behind it has been busy working on updates adressing various community complaints. That, alongside Flashpoint introducing the Hatchetman, a 'Mech wielding a 'Mech-sized Hatchet, makes me quite eager to check up on my mercenaries. BattleTech is out now on PC.
