Digital Bros has released a company presentation that strongly points to an upcoming addition to the Bloodstained franchise. Digital Bros is 505 Games’ parent company, the current publisher of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Sequel. The document starts by referencing the first game: that is was spearheaded by Castlevania veteran Koji Igarashi, its good Metacritic score of 81, total life-time revenue, and ends with “second version in development”. While this is a broad term that could have several interpretations - such as an update or new content - it most likely means a sequel. To further support this, Digital Bros uses the same term “second version” to describe sequels of other games like Ghostrunner.

Developer ArtPlay and Igarashi have made not further comments on the project. It is unclear if the game would follow Miriam, Zangetsu, or introduce a new main protagonist. Outside of the original game, the spin off Bloodstained: Cure of the Moon allowed players to control several heroes in a style reminiscent of Nintendo era Castlevania titles. However, Curse of the Moon is considered its own continuity and does not reflect Ritual of the Night’s story.
