Destiny Microtransactions Worry Answer by Bungie

Destiny has added microtransactions but this doesn’t mean you can purchase powerful loot.

Now that cosmetic microtransactions have been a added to Bungie’s latest game many are worried that actual gear becoming available through these transactions.

After some data miners located code referencing the possbility of this the entire Destiny community became alarmed. Community Manager, David Dague came to the rescure in latest Bungie Weekly Update that they’re not doing that. Instead the files are left over from the Three of Coins or Moldering Shard-like items that would’ve been available from Xur: Agent of the Nine.

So relax we won’t see Destiny become a pay-to-win title, unless you count buying all the paid emotes a victory.
