In The Precinct, there is an achievement called "Employee of the Day." What you need to do to get this is earn 10,000 XP in a single shift.
The easiest way to do this is to make enough progress in the game so that you have custom shifts available. Then, make more progress until you unlock helicopter patrols.
Setting Up Your Shift
What you want to do is you want to start a helicopter patrol, and you want to set your shift to a 24-hour shift. Then what's going to happen is you're just going to be chilling in the helicopter. You're going to have callouts and stuff for different crimes that are happening.
You might even spot some yourself. But just to do that 24-hour shift and ensure you are quick enough with it, you should earn way more than enough XP to complete the achievement. The goal is 10,000. I managed to get a little over 13,000.
General Strategy
What you want to do is just keep flying around everywhere within your target zone and take every single crime that you can. So, like, when dispatch calls you to the crime, accept every single one you can and try to deal with these crimes as quickly as you can.
Handling Motor Vehicle Theft
When it comes to something like a motor vehicle theft, like when a car is stolen, what you want to do is save up two bars for pursuit and then call in a cruiser.
Then do it again after two cruisers, calling in the spike strip and then just carrying on with the cruisers now and then, deploying a spike strip because even if the criminal doesn't go over the spike strip, it's still going to slow them down because they try to avoid it.
Handling Mugging or Burglary
When it comes to something like a mugging or burglary, the people are on foot, and once you have built up one bar, you can call in for officer backup. So what you want to do is just spam that.
If they're running really quickly, you can call in for a cruiser, but it doesn't help too much. I would just focus on getting as many police officers as you can into that pursuit, and they are going to deal with a criminal. So it's nice and simple.
