The Precinct Guide | How To Level Up Fast

In the precinct, you have different ranks you can become. This guide will show you how you can level up fast to reach those ranks quicker.

Extending Your Shift for Maximum XP

This is going to be all about your shift. What you want to do is, when your shift is over, stay out on the streets. Just interact with more crimes, arrest more people, and do it for as long as you possibly can. 

The reason you want to do that is because every time you read someone their rights, every time you issue a parking ticket, you're going to get XP. Every time you deal with a crime, you're going to get a load of XP.

Maximizing Charges on Suspects

Especially if someone has said they've done some carjacking, they've stolen a car, they've then run someone over and killed them, you can do a hit and run. There are also vehicle accidents. Then, if they get out of the car and start attacking you, you can have them done for assault. 

You can then get them done for evade and arrest as well. There are a lot of things you can pin on one person, and every offense you pin on someone, as long as it's correct, is going to earn you XP.

Don't Rush Back to the Precinct

Just because the game tells you your shift is over, you do not need to go back to the precinct straight away. In fact, at least on PC, there's an achievement in the game to get 10,000 XP in a single shift. You want to go out and look for as many crimes as you can.

Thorough Investigation Techniques

When you are interacting with someone who's committed a crime, you want to do every single check. You want to get them to unlock the trunk of their car and go and search it. 

You want to search for them. You wish to breathalyze them. You want to check their ID. Anything you can pin on them is going to be XP, provided you get it right.

Important Warnings and Precautions

If you're not 100% sure, I won't take the risk because, for every wrong offense you pin on them, you're going to lose a little bit of XP. It's only 50 XP a time. 

That means you also want to be careful of civilians as you're in police pursuit in your vehicle, because if you run someone over, that's going to be an XP loss as well.

It's basically about being a good cop and trying to pin every possible offense on the person you are arresting. It's friendly and straightforward. That is how to level up fast in the precinct.
