Dr. Mario World Hits 2 Million Installs in 72 Hours

Dr. Mario World is the latest mobile title to launch from Nintendo. While the game has been negatively received by many for its massive microtransactions, that hasn't stopped players from downloading the game. 

According to new data from Sensor Tower, the game has already hit the 2 million installations milestone and has made more than $100,000. All within the first 72 hours of its release according to the graph above.

In comparison, the mobile title isn't as profitable or popular as other Nintendo mobile games but it's still a substantial amount. Considering the series is not as popular as Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing, or the first Nintendo mobile title, Super Mario Run, the numbers Dr. Mario World has been producing is strong.

Dr. Mario World is now available to download at no cost for both Android and iOS.
