Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Could Be Delayed to 2027

The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 might be delayed again, even though Playground Games recently said it is still set to launch on Sony's console later this year. The latest update comes from The Verge journalist Tom Warren, who says Microsoft is now planning to release the PS5 version in early 2027.

Warren says the delay is linked to the timing of the game's first major expansion. This situation is confusing because Playground Games recently told PlayStation fans something different. In a September update, the studio said Forza Horizon 6 would come to PS5 later in 2026 and encouraged players to add it to their PlayStation Store wish lists.

Warren's new report goes against that public statement.

Forza Horizon 6 came out on Xbox Series X|S and PC in May 2026, so an early 2027 PS5 release would still be within about a year of the original launch. The PS5 version was first announced for late 2026, but Microsoft and Playground Games have not given an exact release date.
