Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was announced back at E3 2019 and would include 9 films in one game. Including a wide array of new mechanics and improvements to the core gameplay. With a new engine and the camera perspective shifted to a shoulder view instead of the fixed view from past games.
We'll have to wait and see how fans respond to this new title. The new trilogy has not been received well by fans and the final film in the new trilogy, The Rise of Skywalker, is widely considered by the fanbase to be one of the worst films in the franchise. Instead, many fans found The Mandalorian to be a better example of modern Star Wars with the season 2 finale being so popular that it crashed Disney Plus servers.
There's no new release date planned but Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
