Marvel's Avengers Will Include a Rarity System

At this year's E3 2019, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics revealed the first footage for Marvel's Avengers. Showcasing the cooperative action for the first time. In an interview with WCCftech creative director, Noah Hughes revealed new information about the game. Such as the looting system.

Hughes could not reveal everything, such as how the game would run on Google Stadia but did confirm that more content will be added to the game. With players able to equip and earn loot that vary based on rarity.

Right. Adding to that, how important is the loot in the endgame of Marvel’s Avengers? Do you have a rarity system? You know, like rare items, epic, legendary, etc.

Yeah, definitely the equipment, the gear that you’ll be collecting. There’s plenty of gear that is much more difficult to acquire and it’s going to give you additional benefits. Part of the fun is to start as a very powerful superhero, but through the acquisition of skills and gear, I really feel like your tailoring that character. And part of that is a sense of difficulty to acquire that gear so that when you finally have it, it feels like a story. ‘I did this and now I’m ready for this bigger fight’.

Hudges did state that players cna tailor their hero to their play style. This includes additional abilities, technology, and develop your favorite "outfit".

Marvel's Avengers launches this May 15th for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
