New Far Cry 5 Video Reveals Characters and Cooperative Gameplay

Since the release of Far Cry 3, the franchise has been taken to new heights and the developers of the latest installment, Far Cry 5, is looking to build on everything the franchise has accomplished.

The latest video features Far Cry 5’s Creative Director Dan Hay and Associate Producer Philippe Fournier as they provide these new details. Hay started off explaining that the series has had between 18-20 characters spread around the world, Far Cry 5 will have more than 65 with Hay confirming that everyone will play a part in fighting back. Characters won't act like muted husks but interact with one another, like a real resistance.

Fournier led the discussion on cooperative play. Like Far Cry 4, players can drop into a player's world and aid in the fight.

Wildlife, like in past Far Cry games, will still play a massive role in Far Cry 5. Players could manipulate the wildlife to fight alongside them or serve as dangerous obstacles. Fournier highlighted that he's intimidated by the wolverine specifically.

Far Cry 5 will release on March 26th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
