Prey 2 Goes Heavy Cinematic

Bethesda is not sitting on their behinds and waiting for that sweet Fallout money to come raking in, that’s for sure. After releasing Hunted: The Demon’s Forge today, they’re also currently holding publishing rights to Prey 2.
The new Prey look on the left versus the olden days on the right.
This sequel to the original Prey is also developed by the original developers, Human Head Studios. The first game was some trippy first person shooter story about natives and aliens and included some far out stuff like 360 degrees wall climbing and spirit walking. All those radical ideas however boiled down in a lackluster story and a confusing, frustrating gameplay experience. It's in fact so bad, it's one of the games I was most disappointed of in my life. To overcome that, the sequel is barely connected to that and throws most of those ideas out the door for a grittier, open world FPS experience.
Personally, I don’t really know why one would link a name to something completely different, but at least they’re putting in a solid effort this time. To prove that they’re dedicated, they’re also going in an entire different direction with their newest trailer. Check out this heavy cinematic baby on our site, if you can, thanks to Viacom. As far as trailers go, it’s pretty bold right there. Perhaps they took a line from Dead Island in making a cinematic experience to capture an audience. It worked for me.
