Capcom has revealed that the single player story for Street Fighter V will feature two main components, Character Stories and the Cinematic Story Expansion.

“We knew there would be a lot of new players who are jumping into the franchise for the very first time so we wanted to provide a way for everyone to become familiar with the electric personalities of each fighter. Each character has their own storyline that provides background information on wha drives them to fight, and what their relationships are to the other characters.”

The first portion of the single player experience will feature Japanese Illustrations, with the cinematic story experience coming for free in a content update in June 2016.

In anticipation Capcom is hosting one final beta starting January 30 at 12:01 AM PT, the same time The Division beta begins.

Street Fighter V releases on PS4 and PC on February 16. Are you planning to take part of the beta or will The Division's beta take up all your time? Tell us in the comments below!
