THQ as been reborn from the ashes of Nordic Games. After acquiring the rights and library of THQ titles Nordic Games has rebranded to THQ Nordic.

The Vienna, Austria-based publisher obtained the rights to THQ's assets in 2013 after the company went bankrupt. This including the Red Faction and Darksiders franchises. Since 2008 Nordic Games has obtained 16 different IPs and franchises in the gaming industry.
CEO Lars Wingefors stated “THQ Nordic is meant to represent a core approach of doing much more than “owning” a highly competitive portfolio of IP. It revolves around cherishing them, and aligning them with the very best development resources to expand upon them with the level of experience that communities and established fan bases expect and deserve.”
The latest game announced from THQ Nordic before the rebranding was Darksiders Warmastered Edition, which is a HD remake of the original Darksiders game starring War. It launches on Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, and PC October 25th.
