One of the biggest criticisms surrounding the poor sales of Titanfall 2 is the release window. Battlefield 1 released 1 week before Titanfall 2 causing many gamers to choose between the two.
Titanfall 2 went on to receive a lot of positive reviews and feedback from the community, citing the games incredible campaign and refined multiplayer experience. The addition of free post-game content and the absent of a season pass ensures that all future gamers who decide to purchase the game won't be segregated from the rest of the community.
Titanfall 2 is set to receive more free DLC, with Titanfall's Colony making a return this March.
