Well the wait is over and finally metal gear solid fans can get involved in the latest series of Mgs and let me tell you the wait was worth it. Metal Gear Solid has always been an epic series right from the orginal on the playstation which for me is still the greatest game ever and always will be. Metal Gear Solid 4 is a big game, very big the sheer size of the game is fantastic and is richly detailed, every gun, every location, the storyline, the action is just plain class. Solid Snake returns but is a little older this time in fact a lot older more like a grandad but he still carries out his job in fantastic fashion.

Right from the off you will notice just how much the game is diffent from the previous game and better for it you no longer have to stick to a linear track as you progress thorugh the game you are able to take various routes thorugh the game which adds variety to the game. The Ai has also got a lot smarter enemies can now spot you from a long way away which is a relief as it adds more tension to the game, the weapons in the game are fantastic and there are soo many to choose from and you can customize them to your hearts content, you can add lasers, flashlights, and silencers making your mission all the more easier.

The storyline which is told thorugh endless cutscenes for me is not exactly straightforward and a confusing mess i wont go into it because for me to explain whatever is actually happening in mgs 4 would take hours and u would fall asleep. This is one of its downpoints but fortuantley there are so many plus points in this game you can forge the storyline and get on with the action. Mgs 4 is not exaclty a hard game in any shaoe of form and compard to snake eater (mgs3) this is a very easy game which can be a good thing or bad thing depending on if you like youre games easy or hard.

Overall this game will be not forgotten and is such a mad ride you will want to play it over and over again, and just remeber try to not get involved with the storyline otherwise you will be dissapointed enjoy it
