CI Games (CIG) announced today the worldwide sales numbers for the most recent installment in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series. This week, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, released on June 4th, 2021, surpassed 1 million copies sold around the globe. Since its inception in 2010, when the first game in the SGW series was released, the franchise has racked up sales of more than 13 million copies, with each new installment doing better than its predecessor.
"In less than a year, the team at Underdog Studio surpassed this milestone, selling more copies than its predecessor. This is a credit to their hard work. We'd want to express our gratitude to the series' long-time supporters and welcome the many newcomers who have contributed to this achievement," - CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski.
Gamers on Steam have given it an 85% user rating, making it the highest-rated game in the series. An in-house development team, Underdog Studio, is continually looking to build on their prior work and provide gamers an immersive experience with new, exciting features like the 1000m+ extreme-range sniping - a fan favorite. To ensure the franchise's exciting future, the team at Underdog Studio has been working tirelessly to establish the optimistic future of the franchise.
SGWC 2 is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam.
