For your build, use items that give you higher infection resistance. If you find yourself near her when she shouts or launches those exploding purple bubbles, you’ll accumulate infection, which continuously reduces your mod and causes you to deal less damage.

Even so, you can still be aggressive in this fight. Any buff that increases your damage output will be helpful here—you don’t need anything else, to be honest. It’s an easy fight.

General Strategy

You should be aggressive throughout this encounter. Keep yourself close enough to land hits, but pay attention to her attacks so you can dodge or parry as needed. The first stage revolves around basic melee skirmishes. Whenever she raises her head to slash, dodge—tap the dodge button rapidly to evade. The purple bubbles and her shout in this phase inflict infection, so keep moving to avoid them.

When she slams her hands into the ground with an AoE attack, she steps back until it resolves. Stay close to her sides or rear to avoid her frontal swipes and continue landing your attacks. If you get infected, keeping your offence up won’t significantly hamper you.

Phase Two

The second stage is a joke. Stay close to her and dodge each attack—one dodge is usually enough to evade. Position yourself behind her as much as possible to avoid damage. You can parry or dodge when she lowers her head; either will keep you safe.

As soon as she finishes an attack, move in quickly and continue dealing damage. This phase ends once her health drops sufficiently.

Final Attack

When Persephone is low on health, she will unleash a massive shout that covers a wide area. At this moment, hide behind one of the pillars scattered around the arena.

The pillars will fall, but they’re designed to protect you, so take cover and wait for the shockwave to pass. Once it’s over and you see the glowing orb, move in and attack it to finish the fight.
