Avatar & EIT

This blog will be short because the last time I tried to post it (the long version) it "could not be saved" (and too right, it wasn't). So I'm trying again...
..people may remember my old cyan-backed avatar saying something like "My self-portrait is almost finished; I'm getting there!" Well, I just finished it today, gave it a background and different text and YAAAY! That is all digitally painted. The time actually spent on it was probably around 10-20 hours, even though it was made over a few weeks. It would have taken less if I had a tablet since I kept redrawing lines and shapes. The background is intended to match the site, but my top was really that colour - it's my leavers hoodie for HNHS (Havelock North High School). You can see the school's white logo on it, I put that in too. I don't go to HNHS anymore though, i go to EIT, a college/university. I'm doing a Bachelor of Computer Systems there. So far my faouvirte subject is hardware even though it is taught by the slightly-scariest teacher. My favourite teacher is probably the one teaching Operating Systems, the most BORING course. Packages is also fairly boring because it is so easy. I even have permission not to show up if I know it, and EIT has on online schedule for each course over the semester, so I know what we will be doing each week anyway.
I really do like hardware a lot. It reminds me of biology - except biology for a computer. Real biology, when we got down to cells - man, I hated all the Latin. In computer bio, you know what the names and acronyms mean. "Mitochondria"? Why would I need to know that? So long as my cells work, I don't care. Now, "quad-core CPU"... that's something I can understand!
