Bloober's Cronos: The New Dawn, a bold, brutal, and unrelenting return to pure survival horror, is one of the better horror games to have come out in recent times, encapsulating the very essence of horror.

This game is both oppressive and exciting, but it can be difficult at times, especially with certain bosses. The Pathfinder acts as the final boss in Cronos: The New Dawn. This fight requires you to have proper area awareness and weapon management.

To start, you'll want to bring your strongest arsenal available, shotguns, rifles – you name it. Having a lot of ammunition on you is crucial to this fight; it's going to make the fight significantly easier, plus it helps that ammo crates surround the arena, but you'll have to be on the lookout when collecting ammunition.

When in combat, try landing as many headshots as you can to dish out the most damage. The Pathfinder tends to be one of the beefier bosses in terms of health. The arena also contains a lot of anti-gravity pads that add a lot of verticality during the fight.

This is especially useful whenever the boss uses his AoE attack that covers the entire battlefield, almost depleting your entire health. Staying on different platforms using the pads can help mitigate the damage.

During the final phase of the battle, the boss becomes more aggressive – teleporting more frequently, using more attacks. Explosives like launchers or sticky charges come in really handy in those scenarios.

In his final form, you'll want to avoid slow-rate-of-fire guns; using carbine rifles or other fast-rate-of-fire weapons is better in scenarios when you have to move frequently to dodge attacks.

When the Pathfinder's health on the weapon's indicator turns red, you'll know the fight is nearly over. You'll want to be patient throughout the entire fight; keep circling the arena and never overcommit to long attack chains, keep it short.

The fight is simplistic in nature; with the right strategy, you'll be able to take the Pathfinder with ease.
