Bloober's Cronos: The New Dawn, a bold, brutal, and unrelenting return to pure survival horror, is one of the better horror games to have come out in recent times, encapsulating the very essence of horror.

This game is both oppressive and exciting, but it can be difficult at times, especially with certain bosses. Mother Eliza tends to be one of those bosses who may seem inherently complex with all of her abilities, but in reality, she is quite manageable.

When the battle starts, Mother Eliza begins by spitting jets of acid, so you'll want to move towards the side of the arena to get cover.

You'll notice orange pustules (the blobs) start spawning around the arena; these are her weak points, and you'll need to destroy them in order to progress. When you attack the pustules, look out for her tentacle attack from the ground.

As you progress by destroying the orange pustules, she will summon a horde of orphans, which can be overbearing at times.

Fuel barrels that you repair before the fight can come in clutch at these instances, lure the orphans towards the barrels, and ignite them to take a large horde all at once.

After a certain number of pustules are destroyed, you then move into the final phase of the fight. Mother Eliza will then flood the arena with acid.

You'll want to retreat to the side sections of the arena and manipulate the two nearby Oddities to progress by summoning the ramp.

Proceed by hopping on the ramp once the acid fills and by repeating the same sequence mentioned above, destroying the pustules.

As her health depletes, a final pustule will be revealed inside of her. After that, too gets destroyed, Mother Eliza is defeated, and you will have completed the Abbey section.
