Churches - Your Source for Seals

Churches are the primary locations for finding seals. There are several types of churches, and each one offers different opportunities:

Large Churches with Envoys: Look for churches with the holy symbol. These contain golems or envoys and have a boss on the main level. To get the seals, climb the pillar on the outside of the church. You'll find small containers with seals inside, plus chests along the way that often contain stone sword keys.

Churches with Basements: If you see fire symbols, these churches have basement areas. Churches without bosses on the main floor typically have catacombs underneath. Hop down into the catacomb area for quick access to seals. You should still check these places even if you're not using seals because they have functional secondary skills.

Pro Tip: You can often find the exit gate from inside the catacombs, making it easy to get in and out. Also, check small huts around churches - they sometimes contain seals too.

Forts - Where to Find Staves

Standard Forts: You can walk directly into these. Head to the treasure room for loot, then go to the top, where you'll find a boss enemy and a staff. Use the table there to reveal marked locations on your map.

Bridge Forts: These require you to enter from underneath the bridge, not through the main gate. You'll find a trader here who sells smithing stones. Work your way up through the fort - sometimes, you'll encounter rats or jars, depending on the fort type.

Quick Access: Some forts have spirit stream jumps nearby that let you land directly in the treasure room, saving time.

Ruins - Utility Items and Status Effects

Ruins are treasure troves for utility items. Look for staircases leading down to treasure rooms. Here's what you'll typically find:

Utility Items: Grease and pots that match the ruin's element type Status Effect Items: Holy, poison, madness, frostbite, and death blight items Weapons: Katanas appear more frequently in ruins than other locations Perfumer Items: Special perfumer ruins contain perfume bottles for perfumer builds

Tower Encampments: Climb the big tower for treasure room access. 

Standard Encampments: Scattered chests throughout contain melee armaments like flails, maces, axes, great axes, and shields.

Tunnels are crucial for weapon upgrades. Each tunnel boss drops a level two smithing stone, which lets you upgrade any weapon to purple quality. Always loot the treasure room first - there's a chance to get the smithing stone from a chest, and you don't want to waste the boss drop if you already have one.
