As you proceed through the main arc, you'll finally land on the Gold Saucer in Chapter 8, where you'll meet a familiar face: Cait Sith. This character will assist you in exploring the environment. Cait Sith will join your party as a playable member when you finish this chapter; Cait Sith comes with their own equipment and materials. His materia includes the Magnify Materia.

How To Get the Elemental Materia

When you enter the Junon region, you will gain access to the first of multiple Elemental Materia in the game. You must first complete Fiend Intel 1: Cacophonic Corvid, which is south of the Chocobo Ranch, and Fiend Intel 4: Weather the Storm, which is east of the map at the Crow's Nest. Chadley will announce the inclusion of a new mission to the battle simulator, Junon Battle Intel: Conqueror of the Skies, if you complete both of these missions. You can accept the challenge by visiting any Chadley location. Upon completion of this simulation, you will receive the game's first Elemental Materia.

How To Get the Second Elemental Materia

To collect the second Elemental Materia, you must travel to the Gongaga region. You must complete both Fiend Intel 4: Maddened by Mako (to the west) and Fiend Intel 5: A Two-Pronged Assault (in the region's center). Upon completion, you will be assigned a new battle simulation mission called Gongaga Battle Intel: Distant Tremors, which will reward you with yet another Elemental Materia.
