Gaming Gadgets Digest (August Edition)
Games by Koshai on Aug 02, 2011
Hello folks. How is everyone? Yea I have been very much busy with a lot of stuff, I still am. Since I thought I haven’t blogged about anything for a while so I thought why not continue the series I am doing. Yes I apologize to everyone that I could not cover both the June and July editions of the Gaming Gadgets so I will try to make up with another awesome blog by this month. So with no further delay let me start listing them all:
Corsair Gaming Audio series SP2500 speaker system
I was browsing through the JnR shop in Manhattan while I was buying my M-Audio AV300 studio speakers and I came across this beauty. First of all the price tag of $249.00 may be enough to stay away from this device (which is a 2.1 only) but the speaker system is cleverly designed. It has got dynamic DSP programs and EQ curves, hi-fi audio with discrete drivers for each speaker to provide great stereo imaging, which reminds me of some great stereo speakers we had in the past in our hi-fi speaker system. It has got 8 inch subwoofer and a total of 6 Class D amplifiers delivering 232 Watts RMS. This speaker system is intriguing. The only competitors I can find are the studio speaker system or the speakers from Boss at the same price.
Bose Companion Series 3
At the same price as that of Corsair one, this speaker is awesome. I never preferred to have 2.1 speakers for my room since they are weak enough but this proved me wrong. I got this as part of my surprising graduation gift from my dad (I could have asked him different stuff though). These small 2.1 speakers are enough to fill up the whole room and the stereo imaging is quite good. The downside of this speaker is that it doesn’t have direct connection to 3.5 mm sound port rather it relies on USB. When the system is connected through USB it will ignore the sound card you have in the PC (good news for integrated sound card users, bad news for dedicated sound card users), in order to experience the sound but its worth it anyway.
AppGun
There are so many random gadgets coming out in the market and this is one of them. You just simply have to place your beloved iPhone in its place and the iPhone will act as a viewfinder. You can play specific games which require the use of a camera. So if you want to play a zombie game where you snap someone (real people) in front of you and shoot him down with your iphone (because he is a zombie in the game, you can use this. It will make you feel cool, unless you are a full grown adult. Interesting idea: A zombie snapping game. The price of this thing will be 19 GBP and will be available at PrezzyBox from August 11.
Turtle Beach Ear Force Delta (EFD)
Good news for COD gamers. Due to recent partnership with Activision, Turtle Beach has released a series of exclusively licensed COD headphones. One of them is Ear Force Delta. It has got programmable wireless 7.1 surround system with bluetooth chat. It has got 3 customized Modern Warfare 3 presets and voice prompts. It is also packaged with specially themed carrying case. The price is though a bit overkill: 299 USD. However there are lower cost options.
Strapless Nintendo Game Boy Dress
CANDY EYE ALERT FOR GUYS. Since girls are being left out, I had to bring this one. I won’t say anything else. Isnt the picture so pleasing to look at? It cost $70 and can be found at Etsy.com.
Space Intruder Multi Tool Key Chain
I would say this is the greatest deal of this feature. It is a Space Intruder keychain with a flathead and a Philips screwdriver which can be very useful (at least for me). Made from stainless steel, you can get this thing at $24 at fledfare.com.
The 30th Anniversary Authentic Pac Man Arcade Cocktail table
When I make this feature I simply cant ignore Hammacher Schlemmer’s exquisite pricey items. So here you go. This replica cocktail table is similar to the ones played in pizza parlors and malls during the 1980s. It is fitted with a 19inch LCD screen and also contains 12 other arcade games if you think you had too much of Pacman for one day. Price is also quite special too: 3500 USD.
Video Gamer T shirt
The feature is not complete if I don’t bring something out of my t-shirt obsession. So here you go. See Darwin explains us how we evolved just to play video games through our whole life. To get a closer look and also enlighten other people get this t-shirt at $20 from cafepress.com.
Catherine Love is Over Deluxe Edition for 360 and PS3
I hardly include limited edition sets of any game released, but this one is exceptional. It has got lots of goodies in it. Not to mention there is an ongoing love between me and Catherine. You could get it at $79 dollars when you pre order, but since the game is released you have to try your luck on ebay. Also check out the Atlus store to see when these merchandize will be available. The set include Men’s Large Empty hearts t-shirt, pillowcase, pizza box, boxers, posters, 11 track audio cd and the game itself.
Critical Hit LED D20 Die
If you are a strong Dungeons and Dragons fan than this is for you. It is a 20 face die for D&D games. One particular fascinating feature is that it includes a flashing red light. When the dice rolls 20 (which is considered a critical), the dice will flash red. If you played Neverwinter Nights or Baldur’s Gate, you will understand when the critical hit occurs. You can get this at Think Geek for just $9.99.
So here you go. I will hopefully be back with another sweet blog for you all to enjoy. Right now I have to log off fast coz I was writing this from the office.
