It may be among the easiest tasks in Genshin Impact to find a team for Mavuika. Mavuika is incredibly versatile as a Pyro unit. Mavuika can take on any damage-dealing duty, and her element interacts with every other element in the game.

Main DPS Team Guide

When Mavuika utilizes her burst, Mavuika can enter it with the skill, but Mavuika will not receive any Fighting Spirit amplification. This means that her harm will be minor in relation to what Mavuika may potentially deal with. You can use the burst to launch a powerful strike, which is one of the game's strongest single hits. It has multipliers comparable to Raiden's initial burst attack, but it can also cause Vaporize or Melt reactions. As a result, it possesses enormous nuclear potential and will be capable of fully wiping out opponent waves on its own.

From that moment on, Mavuika will enter a special Night Soul Blasting state in which Mavuika will not consume Naito points and will remain for 7 seconds in total. During these 7 seconds, Mavuika will be able to hit opponents with normal, charged, or plunge attacks, with normal and charged attacks being the primary focus because they are strengthened by Fighting Spirit, whilst plunge attacks are not.

Even so, while both normal and charged attacks are boosted, this does not imply that they are interchangeable in combination. Her charged attacks have larger multipliers in general, which is useful in Vaporize and Melt teams, where Mavuika may massively multiply high-value hits. Her regular attacks are simply weaker, and while they allow her to activate sub-DPS characters that rely on active characters dealing normal attacks, such as Xiangling and Childe, they do not have as high a ceiling as charged attacks.

A major DPS Mavuika just cannot generate much Fighting Spirit on her own, and without a Naitan backup, it is uncertain whether you will be able to burst every round with her. Among these, Xiangling, Bennett, and Gorou are the greatest options, with the first two allowing you to field your strongest squads. Pyro Traveler is a cheaper choice; however, it is very situational and poor.

Assuming you can accept her team restriction, her damage output is nothing short of incredible. The crucial teams are the Vaporize and Melt teams, which magnify high multipliers the greatest. In these combinations, Mavuika often has the highest theoretical damage ceiling in the game. This damage also provides considerable utility in the form of complete interruption resistance, which is uncommon these days. This makes her more suitable for employment at Constellation 0 than her major opponent in the role, Ayaka, who lacks interruption resistance and can be repaired by other characters.

On the other hand, her uptime window is more limited because it only lasts 7 seconds. This increases the pressure on you to make the most of every attack you employ and avoid mismanaging your rotations because the damage drop-off will be huge. Carries like Ayaka and Raiden, whose rotations are not time-bound, are more adaptable and forgiving in this regard.

A drawback for her is that many of her top-tier teams rely on Saliyah's existence despite the fact that a five-star character will be released in the same patch. Simply described, Saliyah helps Mavuika by delivering a combination of cryo application and amazing supportive buffs, as well as acting as a shield. In comparison, Vaporize teams with Furina are a little less stunning, partly because Furina compels you to play 20-second rotations due to her cooldowns, but the other teams can run on 18-second rotations, which increases damage per second.

Nonetheless, her personal damage remains quite high on all of these teams, becoming only slightly less remarkable on her weaker, no-reaction-based compositions. Overall, Mavuika outperforms Ayaka in terms of strictly theoretical damage ceiling. I can't speak to practical gameplay right now, but in terms of theoretical output, Mavuika improves greatly when played in optimal settings.

Talent-wise, for this type of usage, you really only need to worry about increasing her burst to enhance your damage output, as her skill and attacks are very insignificant in terms of builds.

Sub DPS Team Guide

Mavuika primarily provides Pyro damage over time with her Elemental Skill, which delivers six Pyro hits in total over 12 seconds, limited by her Nal points.

Furthermore, Mavuika may do a lot of damage in a single shot by performing her burst. So Mavuika has off-field components; Mavuika does not have to stay on the field after using the burst. You can cast sub-DPS roles and then swap them out. Using the burst also activates her passive's supporting effect, which enhances the current character based on her Fighting Spirit level.

The burst and skill will deal roughly the same amount of damage during the rotation, with the burst granting her damage bonus support and the skill supplying Pyro application for 12 seconds. I believe both have comparable implications for Mavuika. This is significant because the burst places a strong emphasis on attaining the appropriate Fighting Spirit thresholds. Even in this case, the threshold to attain 200 Fighting Spirit every rotation is far lower than in other DPS situations.

Even if Mavuika loses some damage and support, the overall loss will be much smaller because her damage contribution to the team is significantly lower. Her strongest scenarios here entail teaming up with a Nal carry or Nal support, such as Shilon, Sitali, and Oron. In these instances, Mavuika may compete with Xiangling with a four-star weapon while also employing the Scorch artifact set, which is also quite useful for the rest of the team.

Without a Nal companion, Mavuika has a lower average Fighting Spirit and can only burst every rotation if teamed with a standard attack carry. In this circumstance, her damage is far lesser than Xiangling's, but the supportive effects Mavuika gives can compensate depending on the situation.

It all depends on how Mavuika does without Serpent Spine. A silver lining is that Mavuika may employ Mailed Flower and LaMavuikar, which, for teams that prioritize Mavuika's off-field damage, can match a Refinement 1 Serpent Spine while remaining equivalent in damage to Xiangling. This is good since, in these circumstances, Mavuika's output would be quite useful with the use of Childe or Ayato.

There are a few exceptions, though. For example, Ayaka is a Cryo carry who applies Cryo slowly enough during her rotation that even Mavuika's lesser use rate would be sufficient. Second, a Pyro field effect that lasts too long can interfere with some rotation setups because it may continue to apply Pyro after the rotation ends, making it more difficult to execute setups that require a different element's reaction, such as swirling with Kazuha or crystallizing with Zhongli.
