Building a Workbench in Grounded 2 is one of the most essential things that you should do to progress in the game.

This guide will walk you through the complete process, from unlocking the necessary area to gathering materials and constructing your Workbench in Grounded 2.

Unlocking the Required Area

You need to play through the main story for a bit before you can start making a Workbench.

Complete the main story until you get to a certain point, where you’ll go inside a Ranger Outpost.

Upgrading Your Omni Tool

In the Ranger Outpost, you’ll see stations where you can upgrade your Omni Tool.

The Axe will already be with you when you initially receive the Omni Tool in Grounded 2.

You need this axe to gather the resources required to build your workbench.

Gathering Grass Planks

With your Omni Tool and Axe, go outside and find Grass.

You can find these tall grasses all over the environment. To start chopping, stand next to a Grass and hold the appropriate button.

Once the Grass blade completely falls, it will break apart into several pieces called Grass Planks. Approach these fallen pieces and collect all of them.

Typically, you'll gather around three Grass Planks from each rass you cut down.

Constructing the Workbench

While carrying your collected materials, open your building menu. Navigate through this menu until you locate the Workbench option.

The Workbench requires three types of materials: Grass Planks, Sprigs, and Sap. You can place the Workbench blueprint without having all materials in your immediate possession.

However, you must physically carry the Grass Planks to the blueprint position to finish the building in Grounded 2.

You can easily find a lot of sprigs and sap by exploring the world around you.

Sprigs are small pieces of plants spread out on the ground, while Sap is found on various surfaces and objects throughout the environment.

These materials are readily available and require no special tools to gather.

Final Assembly

Once you have collected all necessary materials, return to your Workbench blueprint.

Add the Sprigs and Sap first, then carry your Grass Planks to the construction site and place them to complete the build.

The Workbench will then be entirely constructed and ready for use in your crafting in Grounded 2.
