This guide will help you complete the investigation of the Snack Bar Anthill Quest, including item collection and combat encounters.

Before you start the Quest in Grounded 2, make sure you have the right tools and upgrades to explore this location fully.

Location and Access

You’ll need to go to The Snack Bar Anthill, which is very close to the Ranger Outpost on your map.

When you leave the Ranger Outpost, proceed directly to the area marked on the map.

When you get to the location, you have to enter the cave that goes downwards.

You need to go inside the Anthill cave to start the investigation in Grounded 2.

Necessary Tools

You need to get the Hammer upgrade from the Ranger Outpost before you can go into the Anthill. This tool is essential for getting past rock walls in the cave system.

Additionally, the Omni Tool Shovel upgrade enables access to secret areas and the collection of additional items in Grounded 2.

Cave Exploration

Enter the main cave entrance, where you'll immediately encounter multiple Ants throughout the area. 

Navigate to the right side of the cave where you'll find a series of rocks blocking your path. Use the Hammer by holding E on your keyboard to break through these rock formations and open a path to deeper sections of the cave in Grounded 2.

Combat Encounter

Move through the tunnel system until you find the Red Soldier Ant and fight it. You need to beat the Ant to progress.

You can now go to the back of the cave, which was previously off-limits, after killing the Red Soldier Ant.

Collecting Items

After you finish the fight, go to the back, where you will see a Treasure Chest. You have to use the Omni Tool Shovel to dig the chest.

Beside the chest, you’ll see a dead body where you’ll find an Optical Disk in Grounded 2.

You can look around the cave for additional resources or just leave the cave for Quest Progression.

Quest Completion

This is the last step of the Investigation. Go back to the Ranger Station to finish it.

Enter the facility and locate the terminal where you can insert the Optical Disc. 

You get 1,000 Raw Science for this action, and you can now buy the Hatchery upgrade in Grounded 2.
