Your journey through Hollow Knight: Silksong will take you up against some difficult Bosses, including the Bell Beast. This Boss can be found in The Marrow.

It is trapped in Silky Chains that prevent it from moving. You'll need to take specific steps before you can start fighting. This guide will show you how to do everything, from freeing it and fighting and defeating the Bell Beast in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Locating the Bell Beast

The Bell Beast can be found in the Marrow region, close to the entry. It is chained up in thick Silk Webs. Until you get the right tools to cut through its Chains, the creature will stay immobile. Meeting this boss is the second big task in your adventure.

Freeing the Bell Beast

You have to take a side trip to Mosshome on your way to free The Bell Beast. Instead of going down into the main village area, you'll need to use the platforms to get to the top left section. You should continue your climb up once you're in the right place in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

When you reach the next area, proceed to the right and use the stairs to ascend to the top level. From this high place, move to the left until you reach a Spider Statue. By interacting with this structure, you can raise The Silkspear, a key upgrade that changes how you fight.

You can cast your needle in any direction with the Silkspear, which lets you hit enemies and things from far away. With this new skill, you can cut the silk chains that are keeping The Bell Beast captive. Remember that letting go of the thing starts the boss fight right away.

Ground Dash Counter

Set yourself up to jump and do a pogo attack off of The Bell Beast's back when it charges at you along the ground. To do this move, slash downward while you're in the air in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Remember that your pogo strikes should go diagonally instead of straight up and down. You should time your jump early to ensure you can hit the target with maximum force.

Aerial Jump Response

Significant tremors in the ground show that The Bell Beast is planning to jump across the field. Move inward toward where the creature first came out instead of going in the same direction as it. Stay far enough away so you don't touch its head when it raises its head.

As soon as the creature lands, move quickly to where it landed. You'll have a short time to land attacks before it goes back underground in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Bell Rolling Defense

If you feel shaking in the middle of the arena, run to the sides immediately. The Bell Beast will show up with two big bells on its back. The bells will ring out at both ends of the arena after it goes back underground. To avoid getting hurt, jump over these moving things.

Attack Patterns Phase #1

During the first part, The Bell Beast uses three main attacks. The thing comes out and charges straight at you during the dash attack. It jumps from one side of the field to the other as part of its attack.

In the rolling bells attack, the creature comes out of the ground in the middle with two bells that roll outward after it goes away in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Attack Patterns Phase #2

When you lower The Bell Beast's health by half, it will dig deep and cause earthquakes. From now on, you need to keep an eye out for falling bells and avoid the creature's regular attacks at the same time. Adding this extra risk makes the situation a lot more difficult.

Rewards

You can use the Fast Travel system for your trip after you beat The Bell Beast. After the fight is over, keep going to the right side of the arena to see a short interaction between you and the creature you killed.

You can quickly get from Bonebottom to The Marrow after this encounter. As you move through other places, more stations will become available in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
