Each section talks about a different feature, item, or secret that can help you stay alive, fight better, or find out more about the game's deeper parts.

Jump Off Enemies

Enemies can help you get to places you wouldn't usually be able to get to. When you hit something, it bounces back, giving you more height to get around obstacles or take shortcuts. Often use this trick to find secret paths.

Use Downward Dash

Once you acquire Swift Step, pressing down while airborne will let you dash straight to the ground.

This technique helps in combat by quickly resetting your position, avoiding enemy attacks, and chaining into follow-up strikes. It also works for rapid traversal with style.

Deflect Incoming Hits

With a well-timed move, you can block enemy projectiles and weapon swings. Your dash doesn't give you invincibility frames, but hitting incoming weapons or projectiles with it cancels out their damage.

This move can block the first hits, giving you time to avoid the next ones.

Taunt Enemies Towards You

By clicking the right stick, you can perform a taunt. This ability emits an inaudible insult that lures nearby enemies.

It costs a small amount of silk but is highly useful for pulling enemies into traps or separating patrolling groups.

Bounce On Spikes

Not all spikes are deadly hazards. By using downward air attacks, you can bounce indefinitely on metal spikes, even on spinning blades.

However, natural thorns are exceptions and cannot be pogoed upon, adding an extra layer of danger.

Increase Attack Speed

Your jump attack sequence can be slightly faster than ground combos. To execute this, perform a short hop by briefly tapping jump and quickly pressing the attack button.

This short hop string allows you to slip in an extra strike during narrow attack windows.

Finish The Reaper Crest Section

In the far west of Greymore, at the Chapel of the Reaper, completing the platforming challenge rewards you with the Reaper Crest.

Equipping this crest changes your downward aerial attack into a wide slash, making both combat and platforming more forgiving.

It also grants a buff after healing, releasing silk orbs from enemies when you continue attacking, ensuring faster silk recovery.

Travel Animation Skip

Depending on your system speed, you can skip travel animations by pressing the jump button during the sequence. This effectively shortens load times and maintains a brisk pace.

Needolin Secret

With the Needle Len upgrade, you can play it in front of most NPCs to hear unique bug-voiced songs.

Even defeated insects, companions, beasts, and corpses can respond with stories, lore snippets, or spectral images, adding depth to the world.

Use The Cocoon

After dying, your silk cocoon remains at the place of death. Breaking it grants a large amount of silk, making it wise to leave it intact before challenging encounters.

This allows you to resupply mid-battle. Just remember not to perish again before reclaiming it.

The Tacks Tool

In Sinus Road, two NPCs offer a quest to collect roach guts. Completing this grants the Tacks Tool, one of the most effective damage-dealing tools.

These sharp projectiles can trap enemies in place, dealing stacked damage, especially useful against ground-based bosses.

Weighted Belt

A vendor in the far fields sells the Weighted Belt. Equipping it reduces knockback when struck, while also lessening pushback from your own attacks. This makes it easier to sustain pressure in melee combat.

Expand Your Crest

Unopened nodes on your crest can be unlocked with Memory Lockets, granting additional slots for equipping upgrades. This expansion is essential for building versatile and powerful setups.

Rosaries & Silkeaters

All Rosaries are dropped when you die. To keep them safe, look for spider eggs that have Silkeaters inside. These things will quickly get your cocoon and rosaries back, so you won't have to worry about losing them forever.

Rosaries can also be changed into Rosary Necklaces, which stay safe even after death. But change costs money, like when you pay 80 rosaries for a necklace that's only worth 60.
