Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Guide | Vatican Safe Code List

This guide covers all the safe codes you’ll encounter in the Vatican area.

First Safe in Belvedere Courtyard

The first safe is located near the beginning of the Belvedere Courtyard in the open-world Vatican area. In the first tent, loot the desk to find a ticket stub. The numbers 3 and 8 are on the front, and 5 and 2 are on the back, giving you the code 5238. Inside, you’ll find a combat skill book and money.

Secret of Secrets Mystery (Sistine Chapel)

When you reach the Sistine Chapel and access the back office, you’ll find a safe, two statues, and a note on the table, which starts the Secret of Secrets mystery. The note asks you to inspect the statues of Peter (with the key) and Paul (with the sword). Turn the statues to reveal planetary symbols. Then, use the planetary chart to align the symbols with the planets’ distance from the Sun to get the code 4471. Inside is a book to complete the mystery and a skill book.

Post Office Cellar Safe (A Savage Discovery)

During the A Savage Discovery fieldwork, you’ll go to an excavation site and unlock the cellar key from an enemy. Use the key to open the door under the post office near the Tower of Nicholas. Inside, defeat a guard and loot their note, which references November 1936 (code: 1136).

A Date to Remember Mystery (A Nun in Trouble)

In the A Nun in Trouble fieldwork, you’ll reach the garden at the back of the museum. In a tent, you’ll find a safe and some notes. While one note suggests the code is 4718, the correct code comes from the secret delivery letter, which indicates the package arrived on October 15, a Friday. Using the calendar and dice, the code is 6380. Inside, you’ll find a book with all the medicine locations in the Vatican and complete the mystery.

Museum Safe (A Nun in Trouble)

Also, in A Nun in Trouble, you’ll find a safe in the museum basement. After completing the fieldwork, travel to the garden and enter the museum. Turn off the lamp on the desk to reveal the code 7171. Inside, there’s an artifact.

Father and Son Mystery

After completing A Nun in Trouble, you’ll unlock a new door near Borgia Tower with Juliana's key. Inside, you’ll find a side room with a safe, a cat, and a dog. Loot the poem and use the circled letters (I, R, I, A, T, A, S, O) to decode the numbers, resulting in the code 5873.

Signs of Trouble (Gina's Request)

After finishing A Nun in Trouble, you’ll find a mystery note called Gina's Request in the Sistine Chapel, starting the Signs of Trouble mystery. Follow the map to the excavation site, where you’ll find a safe. The code is at the bottom of Gina's Request note: 1891.
