Interviewing Bruno Sampaio

People by Goliath on  Apr 06, 2010

So lets get this started. For my return i wil start with an iterview that i said i would do quite a while ago and i apologize Bruno But i'm doing it now.

1-First of all would yuou please tell us a bit about yourself and any hobbies other  ther intrests you have

i'm 17 (18 in may), brazilian, starting college on march 1st. i'll study computer engineering and will specialize on videogames. my dream? becoming a well-known game designer. my biggest hobby, and the one i dedicate the most time to is, obviously, games. i also like to watch movies, hang out with my friends and read books. by the way, i recommend Musashi to anyone with the slightest interest in feudal japan and samurais. i also like to practice kendo whenever possible, despite being away from the trainings last year

2- You are some what famous for your video blogs well in my opinion anyways and i was wondering what incourages you too do them?

i'm flattered :P one of the reasons is that i have no other way to practice my english speaking, but mostly i do it because they're enjoyable to be done. i have fun doing them, no matter how nervous i get while recording, and that's the only reason i need to do anything.

3-Like everyone, i am sure you have a favorot genre of game. care to tell us?

believe it or not, no, i don't have a favorite genre. i'm too eclectic to pick a single one. but looking at my collection, you'll see action, action/adventures, RPGs and rhythm games are on the top of the list, while racing games are the least attractive to me. i also have a deep love relationship with shmups, the "airship games" where tons of bullets fly everywhere and you can barely move.

4- I myself am always interested in the system people are rooting for, and you are rooting for?

i've always been and always will be a nintendo fan. since the SNES and the GBC, when i started playing videogames, i haven't skiped a single generation from nintendo, despite the salty price games have in brazil. it wasn't until my family and i found a new PS3 for a bargain price that i owned a console from a different company. ironically, one of my favorite games ever is shadow of the colossus, exclusive for the PS2, which i never owned.

5- Just a couple fun questions to throw out there, who is the one video game charicter you would want too be for one day?

it's a tough choice, but it would have to be a swordsman in a fantasy medieval world, slashing his way through stuff. link would do alright :P

6- Next one is if there is any one thing you could change about any video game or console what would it be?

that's a tough one... i'd say "remove the freaking motion from the sixaxis, it's too inaccurate", or, going to past generations, "put the memory card slot on the machine, not the controller, microsoft". and erase the CD-i from history.

7-  So what are your plans for Noobfeed and its future?

i intend to stay here helping as much as a regular member can be, and if they ever ask me to do something more, i'll most probably accept it.

8-How do you feel about the evolution and revolutionizing of gaming?

up until this point it's been great. i just hope natal's "body controller" system doesn't become the standard, because i'll definitely miss the physical feedback. physical media for games is also something that shouldn't leave. last but not least, GIVE UP THE CLOTHING GIMMICKS, DEVELOPERS! who wants to wear glasses to watch TV every single time, or a helmet/pair of gloves to play games? too clumsy, and it would probably remove, not to say limit, so much of the experience.

9- Obviously you have come back to this site many times. What are some of the things that make you come back?

i owe 90% to the community, and the fact that the admins "walk around" like regular users, something really hard to find on other communities. everyone knows each other, and this creates a very friendly atmosphere. the other 10%? the unusual, yet big news they find god-knows-where, because i never see anything like their headlines on other sites.

10- And as a final question who is/are your favorite user/users on Noobfeed?

this is one evil question. i'd rather keep my mouth shut, as it can be offending, and because i don't really have one person in a higher position than another. but i'd say Sleven and Tanya are the users that i get around the best.

Well Thank you for your time Bruno. And thank you to our readers.
