How Security Reputation Works
You earn Security Reputation points mainly in two ways. You get points by completing Contracts, and you also get points by releasing Dinosaurs. Both actions can raise your standing, but the amount you earn depends on what you choose to do.
When you look at a contract, you can usually tell what it rewards. Under each contract, there is an indicator showing how many points it gives for each reputation track. These tracks include Entertainment Reputation, Security Reputation, and Conservation Reputation.
Some contracts lean heavily into one track. Others spread points across multiple tracks. The same idea applies to dinosaurs. Different releases can reward different reputations.

Earn More Security Points With Contracts and Dinosaur Releases
If your goal is to raise Security Reputation, you should focus on tasks that clearly pay out security points. This sounds obvious, but it matters because not every contract helps the same way.
Some contracts give more Entertainment Reputation. Some give more Conservation Reputation. You need the ones that specifically add Security Reputation.
Dinosaur releases work the same way. Releasing a dinosaur can push reputation forward, but the reward is not always identical across species and situations. Keep checking the reward details. If the release gives more Security Reputation, prioritize it when you are trying to level that track.
The Reputation Cap Problem
You might see a maximum limit on your Security Reputation at times. This is not a mistake. It's a cap. Your points won't count for that reputation track anymore after you reach that cap. You can keep doing contracts and letting dinosaurs go, but your reputation won't go up until the cap is lifted.
This cap can affect any reputation track. You can't get any more security points if your Security Reputation is maxed. The same rule applies to those songs if Entertainment or Conservation is capped. So your activities aren't what's stopping you from making meaningful progress. It is the limit right now.

How to Lift the Cap With Site Objectives
To raise the reputation limit, you need to complete Site Objectives. The important detail is that “site” means the entire location. You are not completing a small side task for one building. You are completing the objective for the full map site.
When you finish those Site Objectives, your reputation limit increases. This is what unlocks more room for Security Reputation growth. After that, contracts and dinosaur releases start adding points again like normal.
Why Story Progress and Star Rating Also Matter
In some cases, lifting the cap is tied to overall progression. That means you may need more than one thing completed before the limit actually moves. For example, you might finish a site like Clark County and still not see the cap lift. This happens when other progression requirements are still missing.
Common requirements include story progression and reaching certain park goals. One example path includes needing a total of Five Stars to move forward, having a reputation of 10 with each sector, and completing Site Objectives in North America. When these pieces come together, the game allows the next step.
Use New Locations to Push the Limit Higher
Once you reach the required progression steps, you can unlock new sites. Unlocking and progressing in new areas can raise your reputation limit further. After the limit increases, your Security Reputation cap becomes much higher. That gives you space to keep earning points again.
A good example is moving beyond North America and unlocking new locations in China. After this unlock, the higher cap lets you return to the earlier loop. You complete Contracts, release Dinosaurs, and keep building Security Reputation with no cap blocking you.

Quick Checklist to Increase Security Reputation Faster
You should keep checking contract rewards before committing. Pick contracts that clearly award Security Reputation. You should also release dinosaurs that reward security points when available.
If your security number stops moving, you should assume you hit the cap. Then you should switch focus to completing Site Objectives for the full site and pushing story progression.
If you are stuck after finishing one site like Clark County, you should work toward the bigger requirements such as higher star rating and sector reputation goals. Once the cap lifts, you can return to farming Security Reputation through contracts and releases.
