Just saw Microsoft's E3 conference.

All I can say is "wow". This hyped me up so much, I can't stand it. While there were many things unveiled, the ones that interest me are below.

Halo 3: ODST

My hype factor: 9.5/10

We were introduced to a couple characters, including the main character, "The Rookie", and the Recon-sporting Dare. A short gameplay video was shown, and a couple new weapons were as well (including a silenced SMG and the Halo 1 pistol, zoom and all). Also, a new co-op mode, called "Firefight", was hinted to. It wasn't shown during Microsoft's conference, but it'll be shown later this week.

Halo 3: Reach

My hype factor: 10/10

Here's Microsoft's bombshell. A little bit ago, some people noticed a tab on Bungie.net entitled "Halo 3: Reach", as well as some 360 achievements under the same name. Microsoft and Bungie didn't comment until now, when we were shown a small teaser trailer. :D For those of you not in-tune with the Halo books, "Reach" is the name of the planet that the Master Chief and the other SPARTAN-II's trained on. From what I pieced together, it'll follow the events of the Covenant attack on Reach, which was the first major loss that the UNSC took. It will also feature our beloved SPARTANs, more than just John. Halo 3: Reach is slated to come out mid-to-late 2010, but a Multiplayer Beta will be included with the purchase of Halo 3: ODST.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

My hype factor: 9.5/10

The long-awaited sequel to the hit game "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", this will follow the story of an S.A.S. soldier by the nickname of "Roach", under the command of Captain "Soap" MacTavish. We were shown a short campaign video, following Roach and Soap in an arctic environment. Roach was using what seemed to be a silenced, red-dotted M4 grenadier, with what looks to be a new attatchment; a short-range motion sensor screen coming out of the side of his gun. The video also showed Roach and Soap escaping on snowmobiles, firing pistols at oncoming enemies.

Bayonetta

My hype factor: 10/10

Platinum Studios has already become famous for their work with the Devil May Cry series, but they have their sights set on a new series: "Bayonetta". Bayonetta follows the story of a witch, with guns attatched to her feet, slaughtering hordes of angels. Sounds strange, but the gameplay looks to be a lot like the DMC gameplay that we love. We were shown a few short clips of the game. The ability to temporarily pick up weapons from fallen enemies was showcased, as well as the ability to use special fatality-esque moves. This definitely looks like a pure, mindless fun kind of game.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising

My hype factor: 8.5/10

Very little of Kojima's pet project was shown, but we were ensured that Rising would be a new type of MGS experience. Oh, and Raiden is the main character. Yeah, not Snake... Raiden... great...Undecided

Left 4 Dead 2

My hype factor: 7/10

I didn't watch the unveiling of L4D2, but from what I've heard, it looks to be more of the same. But it'll still be fun. But maybe Valve should stop it with L4D2 and JUST MAKE THE MEET THE MEDIC & PYRO VIDEOS ALREADY! Yell

Project Natal

My hype factor: 8/10

This was a strange case indeed. I won't bother explaining it; just take a look on YouTube, or on Xbox.com. Undecided Seriously, I can't put this into words.

Well, that seems to be all for me. I might be back soon if Nintendo's conference blows me away as well. See you all soon. :)
