Appetizers include Hommos, which is made of chick peas. Hommos Bel Lahme is hommos topped with spiced ground meat, pine nuts and almonds, sprinkled with olive oil; Kibbeh, that is ground beef and crushed wheat shells, stuffed with lamb, beef, pine nuts and almonds; Sambosek, which is a dish of light pastry, stuffed with spiced meat, almonds and pine nuts. Makenek is home-made spiced beef and lamb sausages, sautéed in lemon butter; Sojok is beef and lamd sausages served with spicy tomato sauce, and of course Kibbeh, which is Lebanese steak tartar-fresh,raw lamb mixed with crushed wheat, herbs and spices, served with an assortment of pickled vegetables, olive oil and garlic paste on the side. Then there are also hommos with pine nuts, hommos with simmered fava beans flavoured with garlic and lemon, baked eggplant pureed with tahini, vegetable patties made from chick peas, fava beans, onions, garlic and spices, roasted eggplant mixed with garlic, lemon and olive oil, eggplant and chichpeas baked with tomatoes, onions and garlic, creamy dip made from strained yogurt topped with a dash of olive oil, grape leaves rolled with rice, chick peas, tomatoes, mint and parsley, and poached halloum cheese served with tomatoes and olives .
I don’t think I could ever get tired of dishes that are served in Lebanese Restaurants, since in order to try everything that is offered in the menu, I would probably have to eat Lebanese food almost every single day.
