Life Ambitions, where I would like to go.

Writing by Yuna7780 on  Jan 13, 2010

Rather than study for my physics exam tomorrow, I decided I would talk about where I would like to go with my writing about games

I'm personally a better creative writing type of person. I'm currently in an AP Language and Composition class in my school right now and I get Bs. It's very tough writing what they want, but being my first honors English class and the hardest English class in my school, I think that's pretty good.

I've always loved English class since I was a child. There really is no right answer for most things and I enjoy most of the books we read. But... I have discovered my true love for language: German.

So, where does this lead us to? Firstly, I'm going to Germany for a month this summer for an exchange program and I intend to major in German in college. I would like to minor in Spanish or Japanese because these languages are also very useful.

Recently I was thinking about what I would like to do when I "grow up" and spent some time thinking about this. I want to use German in my career , but I don't want to be a teacher. Every English, social science, and foreign language teacher I have ever had in junior high and high school says I should become a teacher of their subject, but teaching doesn't sound very fun to me.

What else can I be? A translator. Sounds okay, but I realized what would be coolest for me to do: write in German gaming/nerd magazines.

That's what I would like to do most. Plus, my German writing is my strongest point (not saying I'm bad at reading, listening, and speaking).

As for those of  you who are curious, I speak great German (doing AP next year), I'm learning Spanish in school also (taking Accelerrated Spanish 2 next year), starting Chinese next year, and I'm doing poor self study of French and Japanese.

Thank you for reading my blog, and I hope to write about something good in the near future. :-)
