Mafia: The Old Country Guide | Infinite Money (Dinari) Glitch

This guide explains a reliable glitch to generate effectively infinite money in Mafia: The Old Country, working on both PC and consoles.

The in-game currency, Dinari, can be used to purchase weapons, vehicles, and outfits from any wardrobe, garage, stable, or weapon locker. 

How the glitch works

In Chapter 3, Pizzu, when you first come across the bandits, four locked boxes can potentially net you a total of 600 dinars.

Pause the game and click on Restart Checkpoint; the four locked boxes will be replenished as if they were never opened, and your money will not be decreased by clicking Restart Checkpoint. 

This process can be repeated an infinite number of times to farm the currency.

Preparations and speed-up suggestions

Get the Imperituri Stiletto Knife in Chapter 2, after you meet Pasquale for the first time. The special perk of this knife makes the loot from locked boxes that can be found better.

When you wear the Imperator Knife, the value of each locked box should go up by 50 dinars. 

This means that each locked box should give you around 150 dinars, and the four boxes in the checkpoint should give you around 600 dinars.

Equip the Collettore Bead; this bead's unique perk speeds up looting and makes the repetition much quicker.

Start a new game and reach this point before attempting the glitch. If Chapter 3 is replayed from a previous save and the PC or console crashes, progression will be reset to the start of Chapter 3. 

By starting a new game and reaching the bandit checkpoint, a Continue option will appear in the main menu, allowing exit to explore mode and a return to the main menu without losing the ability to continue, enabling the money glitch, exiting the chapter, studying, and returning with the Continue option still available.

Notes and cautions

The glitch relies on using Restart Checkpoint to refresh the locked boxes while preserving accumulated currency; it is practical to save frequently and ensure the game reaches the correct checkpoint before repeating the method.
