Try to beat Lagiarcus if you have managed to reach level 16 or 20 to get better equipment. A powerful Monstie is needed to assist you. Ratha is very appropriate to use in this combat since the opponent is not very good with fire.

This monster is located in one of the caves in Azuria. If you are careful you’ll find him in the waters if you choose to chase him towards Mirror Lake. Lagiacrus is a strong monster compared to other monsters in Azuria, and thus you should first level up and prepare your gear.

Rewards From the Fight

Beating him will allow you to create very powerful gear. The armor set provides you with Soul Kinship and Kinship Skill Plus. These assist in increasing your Kinship bar quicker and causing your special movements to do more damage in Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

This is among the two best sets of armor you can get before you leave Azuria. There could be other sets that are better, however, they are harder to get unless you decide to spend a lot of time grinding.

Thunder Weapons

Lagiacrus weapons are also unlocked by the materials that you receive, which you can use to make a Great Sword or a Hammer, and both have 52 attack. The hammer is a good option.

There is also a Gunlance Weapon that has the same attack power. All these are thunder-based weapons. It’s a good decision if you decide to keep a good thunder weapon since it will help you win fights that will happen later in the story.
