Nerdboy Blog: 06 - Lets meet Nerdboy!

Hey, you may know me as Nerdboy from around noobfeed or giantbomb or some other random site that I may have once attended.  But who am I really?  Am I just a nerd?  Or is there something more behind this computer screen?  Some would say no.  Some would have you know that I am just another nerd....but I would have you know that they are very much wrong.  The nerdboy saga began over a year and a half ago and to this day continues on.

 

Nerdboy, as some know me, is my alias.  But my true self is something very different...or is it?  Maybe I'm just a spy and I'm trying to lead you on....you'll never know.  If you notice the picture up there contains some key information. 

 

I'm clearly the best looking guy on this site. I have something for penguins I am not a hat person Penguins look good in shades Spongebob is God Random posters tell you lots about people That is the non-exciting part of my room I'm still the best looking guy on this site.

 

Right, so as I was saying.  The point of this is for you all to get to know me a little better.  First things first.  I'm Curtis and I'm from South west Ohio and don't mind it here all that much.  I love writing and...well writing.  It's what I do.  I'd love to be able to get a novel published one day but I'm unsure I'll be able to get something good enough written. 

 

I have VERY weird tastes in music....okay well not weird.  But it's very wide spread.  I'll listen to mostly anything with a few exceptions.  I listen to music all the time but I can't say it's a huge part of my life since...it's really not.

 

Contrary to popular belief...I'm really not that huge of a nerd.  And really...I hardly even meet the qualifications of being a "nerd"...the name nerdboy actually came from a skit some friends of mine had to put on one summer and eventually just stuck.  It's added to a list of nicknames I've had throughout my life (Milky way, sheep dawg, shorty, Shorty O'Neal, nerdboy).

 

I've recently picked up photoshop and started learning more of it's features and have found that I love it and I'm now seriously considering going into graphic design.  (Or something of that nature)  Speaking of which I'm currently taking college classes as a Senior and will graduate with approxiametely around 24 college credits to start off (pretty nice deal)  Current plans are attending community college for atleast a year and then transferring out but if the oppurtunity presents itself I would like to go to Purdue right off the bat.

 

You'll notice also in the picture that John 3:16 poster thing in the background.  I'm a Christian and have some very weird views about the whole thing.  Often I tell people most "Christians" would critisize me...but I'll be honest most things I hear from "athiests" about "those darn christians" are true.  I'd like to think of myself as someone who believes, due to some major events in my life (heck I should be dead), and not because I was forced or brainwashed into it.  I'm of the mindset of hey I respect your beliefs and I won't critisize them cause I totally get it if you don't believe in a higher power....just don't critisize me.  I consider my faith a major part of me but I'll never shove it down your throat...(sound fair? :D)

 

As some of you might be able to tell....I'm obsessed with Penguins.  Heck I want to move to Penguin, Tasmania and live there with my future family.  The penguin in my photo is named Shedder (he sheds like crazy) and is never in the same spot for more than a few hours.  I have a lot of penguin things and currently have my eyes on finding that Penguin PEZ despenser.  I have two stuffed penguins (one in photo and another that came out of a crane machine), one penguin ornament, two glass penguins, one penguin flash drive, one penguin mug, and some other stuff that I can't remember at the moment.  Penguins are pretty much my one major obsession.

 

So with that maybe you've learned a good bit more about who this nerdboy character really is.  Yet you still know soooo little don't you?  Yes, yes you do.  But maybe one day more will be revealed?  Somehow I doubt this...but I guess you'll never truly know until that day does/doesn't come.  Until then....I am nerdboy, milky way, sheep dawg, Shorty O'Neal, Curtis....and I'm signing off.
